Bullet’s story is one you don’t forget.

He came into rescue after being shot—his small body carrying the weight of something no dog should ever endure. The wound narrowly missed his spine and heart. It was, as the vet said, a mess.

And yet… Bullet chose to trust.

Through pain, fear, and a long road of healing, this young Dutch Shepherd has shown nothing but quiet bravery. From being too scared to walk on a leash… to taking his first steps outside… to wagging his tail and offering soft, grateful kisses—every milestone has been hard-earned.

Even something as simple as going to the bathroom outside became a moment worth celebrating.

Because for Bullet, that meant courage. That meant healing. That meant hope.

Today, Bullet is no longer just surviving—he’s beginning to live.

He’s gaining strength. He’s discovering joy. He’s showing us glimpses of the incredible dog he’s becoming. 

But his journey isn’t over.

Bullet will need a very special home—one that understands working breeds and is willing to give him the structure, patience, and purpose he needs to truly thrive. He’s still learning that the world is safe, that people are kind, and that he belongs.

He would do best in:

• A home experienced with Dutch Shepherds or similar working breeds

• A tall, secure fence

• An active lifestyle with training, structure, and mental stimulation

• A patient, understanding human who will let him move at his own pace

Bullet isn’t a “plug-and-play” dog. He’s something deeper.
