Bambi's story
Bambi’s story is one of incredible resilience.
When she arrived at Charlie’s Angels Rescue from California, she was emaciated and covered in lacerations, puncture wounds, and scars. Despite everything she had endured, she greeted everyone with a gentle heart and a trusting spirit.
Since then, Bambi has made an amazing transformation. She has gained weight, healed beautifully, and continues to remind us every day just how much love she has to give.
Now, she’s ready for the next chapter of her life—a home where she can finally feel safe, loved, and chosen.
Personality
Bambi is the definition of sweet and gentle. She absolutely loves people and has a calm, affectionate personality that makes it easy to fall in love with her.
She already knows “sit” and “shake,” but one of her sweetest habits is gently placing her paw in your hand while soaking up affection. She thrives on human connection and simply wants to be close to the people she loves.
Special considerations
Unfortunately, Bambi is very reactive around other dogs. Based on both her extensive injuries and her behavior, we believe she may have been used as a bait dog or experienced a severe attack by other dogs in her past.
Her reactions are rooted in fear, insecurity, and trauma—not aggression toward people.
The good news is that Bambi is not being given up on.
She is currently working with Jessica from Calm Four-Legged Followers on confidence building, muzzle training, and carefully supervised introductions with neutral dogs. Even more amazing, Jessica has generously offered to continue working with Bambi at no cost while she is in foster care.
Ideal home
