Annie's story
Sometimes, loving a dog means making the hardest decision of all.
When Annie's owner became homeless and later had the opportunity to move into his son's apartment, he was faced with an impossible reality – he couldn't bring Annie with him. Wanting the very best for the dog he loved, he reached out to Charlie's Angels Rescue and asked us to find her the wonderful home she deserved.
Before Annie officially entered rescue, we were able to reunite her with him one last time.
There were tears, hugs, and a heartbreaking goodbye that none of us will ever forget. It was clear how deeply they loved each other, and while saying goodbye was incredibly painful, it was also an act of selfless love.
Annie also arrived with six beautiful puppies, raising them with patience and devotion while beginning her own journey toward healing. After recovering from a bacterial skin infection, being spayed, and getting healthy again, Annie is finally ready for a fresh start of her own.
Now it's her turn to be the one cared for.
Personality
Annie is everything you could hope for in a companion.
She's sweet, affectionate, and has a gentle spirit that immediately puts people at ease. She loves being close to her humans and has the kind of calm, loving personality that makes you feel like you've known her forever.
Annie is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. She gets along beautifully with children and cats and generally does well with other dogs, though introductions should always be made thoughtfully since compatibility depends on the individual dog.
Wherever Annie goes, she brings kindness with her.
